José Luis Alba Costal

José Luis Alba Costal is the General Director of the Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes de Aparatos Domésticos (ANFAD), a position he has held since 2013. In this role, he advocates for the household appliance industry and works on regulatory matters affecting manufacturers. 

Before joining ANFAD, he served as General Director of Verification and Surveillance at the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco), where he oversaw compliance and consumer rights initiatives. He also held the position of Head of Internal Audit at the National Fund for Tourism Development (Fonatur), focusing on the investment portfolio and financial integrity. 

Additionally, José Luis has experience as Coordinator of Studies at the Sub-Attorney General's Office for Verification at Profeco and as Technical Secretary of the Commission in the Chamber of Deputies. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master's in Public Policy from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
